DUTIES : The person in this position will be responsible for providing a clean, safe and hygienic environment at all times. This will include sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of floors, dusting, polishing of floors and furniture, emptying bins daily, cleaning of windows, light shades, walls and all toilets, sluices and drains.

The person in this position will also be responsible for ensuring that all cleaning equipment is clean and stored properly after each use. In addition, the person in this position will be responsible for effectively using cleaning agents and stock as well as controlling stock levels.

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum requirements: Basic numeracy and literacy.

We are searching for a cleaning staff member who has appropriate experience and is physically able to lift heavy objects and be on their feet for an entire day.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of how to clean and maintain equipment, is able to work well in a group, and communicates effectively in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
