Apprenticeship Programme : The MISA Experiential Powerful Learnership Programme 2024

The Apprenticeship Programme is a three-year opportunity for learners to train and become skilled Artisans. While anyone can apply, MISA encourages historically disadvantaged individuals to participate.

This structured learnership is focused on youth from Technical and Vocational Education and Training institutions who have the necessary qualifications for the trades being advertised. Successful candidates will receive on-the-job and off-the-job training to become qualified Artisans.

The recruitment is specifically targeting learners from certain municipal areas who will begin the programme in the 2024/2025 financial year. These learners will enter into contracts with MISA and be placed with municipalities for the duration of the learnership.
For graduates in technical fields relevant to municipal infrastructure operations and maintenance, MISA is offering 2-year internship opportunities. Apprenticeship Programme

Apprenticeship Programme

The MISA Experiential Learnership Programme aims to address delivery and skills development gaps while encouraging historically disadvantaged individuals to apply. This program provides work-based internships for unemployed graduates from Universities, Universities of Technology, and TVETs.

The program also caters to learners who need practical work experience (or work integrated learning) for a period of 12-24 months to fulfill the academic requirements of their institutions. This is applicable to the fields of Civil and Electrical Engineering and Town and Regional Planning.

To apply for the Apprenticeship Programme and Experiential Learnership Programmes, applicants must fill out the MISA application form. It is important to include the REFERENCE NUMBER of the position applied for, which can be found in item A (Apprenticeship Programme) or B (Experiential Learnership Programme) above. The necessary documents can be obtained from the websites www.misa.gov.za or www.cogta.gov.za. Alternatively, applicants can request the application form via email at [email protected].
