– Not registered on any other learnership
We understand the challenges that come with unemployment and are committed to providing opportunities for young people to enter the workforce and build successful careers. Our development programmes are designed to support training and education linked to youth unemployment through pivotal programmes.
One of our most popular programmes is the Retail Readiness Programme (RRP) Shoprite YES Learnership. It’s a skills programme that provides young people without previous work experience, with the basic skills to work in a retail environment.
The programme comprises of five weeks of practical training and two weeks theory, which is designed to give participants an understanding of the retail industry. Successful participants receive NQF level 3 qualifications upon completion of the programme Shoprite YES Learnership.
However, our support for young people doesn’t stop there. We also offer the Youth Employment Services (YES) Initiative, which aims to provide one million young people with work experience over the next three years. The initiative is a collaboration between government, business, and labour that aims to create new jobs, empower young people, and stimulate economic growth.
In addition to these programmes Shoprite YES Learnership, we offer comprehensive study bursaries in several academic fields. We understand that education is key to unlocking opportunities and building successful careers.
