Who are we?
U-Belong is an engaging and dynamic program called the Learnership and Development initiative, which is hosted by T3 Telecoms SA. T3 Telecoms SA is a distribution and technology company based in South Africa that offers various telecommunication products and services to both formal and informal markets.

The primary objectives of this program are to promote job opportunities, education, and bridge the digital gap in South Africa. Launched in August 2021, the U-Belong program has successfully hired over 3000 ambitious young individuals from all corners of South Africa.

The main focus of this program is to enhance the sales and operational selling skills of these individuals and ensure that they can sustain a monthly income, thereby integrating them into the mainstream economy.

In the next 24 months, the program will expand to other provinces in South Africa, starting with Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and Western Cape, which have been identified as the initial drivers of growth for the program. By the end of 2023, the U-Belong program aims to create more than 2500 new employment opportunities.

This is my Story…

I started in February 2020 as a learner with no work experience. I remember my first day when I went to the field and got rejected by customers. It was painful, to the point where I wanted to quit, but under the mentorship of Queen and Justice I overcame the challenges. By completing my learnership, I have gained customer service and field sales skills with a bit of admin. I was them promoted to a temporary U-Belong sales supervisor.

After 6 months of hard work and dedication, I got a permanent position as a U-Belong sales supervisor. When I started with U-Belong it was the most challenging experience ever because we were in new territory, but with guidance from management team we are continually growing and improving month to month. It is impossible to get a job in this country without experience, but the company took a risk when they hired me. I am grateful for the opportunity
