Requirements : Grade 12/ equivalent qualification. Basic computer skills (Ms Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc). Understanding of the rules and regulations governing the Public Service. Understanding of DHIS, PPIP3, CHIP, and DATCOV would be beneficial.
Duties : The Data Entry Officer is responsible for collecting data from various points within the facility, checking and verifying the data before capturing it, and compiling a daily data reconciliation template. The officer will also report any problems found in the registers to their supervisor, check for missing data, add comments and mark records for follow up as necessary.
In addition, the Data Entry Officer is responsible for capturing verified data in webDHIS, DATCOV, PPIP3 and ChilPIP3 on a monthly basis, as well as monitoring daily data entry for each service point.
